Hanging at Jockey's Ridge on the Outer Banks 1/10/09. This guy was airborne for over a minute, but my battery was dying. You can learn to fly here just down the road from where the Wright Bros made the first powered flight. Go here for more info http://www.kittyhawkkites.com/i-want-to-fly/

  • Quite the contrary, Kitty Hawk Kites conducts training here at Jockey's Ridge to earn the Class I USHGA license. Check out the link under the description.

  • Thats an old hang glider, not one you would normally see someone fly in 2009 in a place where flying that glider would be questionable at best. My guess is the pilot does not have an ushga rating?

    My 2 cents worth...

Did look like fun tho :)

  • Is that supposed to be a play on words or a serious question? He was able to stay up for about a minute doing what you see here. He didn't cover much ground, but he would climb and descend like this for another minute after the film stopped. It looked like fun!

  • Sure you got the right glider there buddy?
