In this funny clip from classic British comedy tv series Butterflies, Adam's split up with his girlfriend. Is there any consoling of him? From BBC Worldwide.
Well, if you haven't already, you may want to check out the Terry & June playlist on my channel. It is really obscure over here, sadly, yet well worth a view. June Whitfield of Ab Fab starred in this classic sitcom a decade before portraying Edina's mum in AF. I also encourage other american fans of british sitcoms to check it out! :-)
Me too. I'm American and I agree with you. I have loved so many British sitcoms, since I was a kid, shown on public television, ususally years after they show in the UK. Butterflies was one of the best.
Ah, I remember enjoying the re-reruns of Butterflies when I was 17; a long time ago, but long after the series was originally made! I couldn't understand Annie dumping Adam, who was very cute. I yearned to sing the Clout song "If she doesn't come back, I'll be your substitute..." to him. Somehow, Nicholas Lyndhurst lost all his cuteness when he reached his twenties, though.
Could we please have the clip from the 11th episode, where Adam is on the sofa with the girl Martha?
I'm AMERICAN, and have loved this series since I was around 14 (when they played it on PBS over here)... LOVE Fawlty Towers and NO ONE can say that show is BORING!!! "Maunel, let me explain..." LMAO!! NEVER get tired of that show... LOL!!
I'm an american too & have loved british humo*u*r for years now. Don't let naysayers get under your skin... it takes an intelligent person to truly appreciate the fine quality of british entertainment.
whats the name of the song?

Annie (despite having a pretty name) was actually an ugly cow!
