Pros: Pretty nice for the price. Small and simple. Video is pretty good. Controls are well placed. Comes with a silicon molded cover. 2 Hrs recording on built in 8 gigs. Battery life is pretty good.

Cons: AVI format is not Mac iMovie compatible without conversion. Probably more of a complaint for Apple though for not adding AVI support in iMovie '09. Power button is hard to press especially with the cover on. Audio is not great. No real configuration options for video, backlight, white balance, etc. No Optical Zoom. No Macro. No Image Stabilization. The USB connector on the bottom has a tab that prevents the unit from standing up without a tripod.

Quite a long list of Cons, but this camera is still well worth a look especially considering the price.

  • I use both the Vado and Flip and prefer the Flip for image quality.

BTW, what is the music for this video?

  • Very cool. I bought a Vado HD myself.

  • nice
