  • I agree that the "big" sound is already there. Don't worry about it. Your voice is very well focused and should reach the corners of any concert hall or opera house. Focus more on the control and Handel and Mozart are indeed perfect as are lieder. Making a song actually say something is a big part of the control. But it is a beautiful sound and I hope to hear more from you in the near future.

  • Hello Corelli2

Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement...they really mean so much to me. I absolutely agree with you about the Lieder and Lighter operatic rep to focus voice and promote control of technique etc..

It's Wonderful advice and take it very much to heart.

Likewise, I really enjoyed your recent postings. You both have tremendous talent and beautiful voices..Thank you for posting..I look forward to more videos.

  • Virginia Zeani talks about singing her first Aida in an interview with George Jellinek, now posted on my channel in three parts. She describes waiting until forty before undertaking heavier roles, which she did most successfully and without harming the beauty of her voice. Unmissable for student singers.

  • Just back to say again--"WELL DONE".

As Corelli2 says---"I agree that the "big" sound is already there".

    It's already there.

  • Your voice is good and it is really moving to hear your very professional teacher singing with you. Maybe you need now not to worry about making a big sound, because that is already there. Instead perhaps sing lots and lots of Handel and then Mozart so as to get clarity and total control of your instrument. Good luck to you in this hellish career !!! Virginia Zeani is a fantastic teacher.

  • Good for you Diva, attempting a fiendishly difficult piece, from Aida, of all operas!

You don't shy away into a more comfortable zone.I thoroughly enjoyed it.Thanks.
