Leeds Met sport's teams have enjoyed a day of strong results during the third week of BUCS.
The netball side continued their strong start to the season with a convincing 50-23 victory over their northern rivals Newcastle. The second team were also victorious beating Central Lancs 55-33, whilst the third team recorded an astounding 119-0 win over Hull.
The men's rugby union side continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 31-15 win over Durham and the rugby league side got their season back on track, running out 46-4 victors over Northumbria.
There were convincing wins for both the men's and women's basketball sides with the men defeating Birmingham comfortably 109-64 whilst Carnegie scholar Keesha Tate put in a dazzling performance as the women also overcame Birmingham 89-34.
The badminton team had a clean sweep of results with all four sides winning easily, whilst the golf team recorded a 4-2 victory over Durham.
Men's football also continued their good form with a 4-1 demolition of Central Lancs, with the women's side defeating Birmingham in a tight encounter 2-1. Men's and women's hockey also turned around their recent run of poor form with the men's side beating Sheffield 2-1, whilst the women disposed of Edinburgh 4-1. Completing a day of fine sporting action were the volleyball and tennis clubs who both saw off their respective opponents with ease.

Over the weekend the men's football side beat Appleby Froddingham 3-2 in the North East counties league, whilst the men's volleyball side defeated Loughborough 3-0 as they launched their partnership with the Tackling Men's Health campaign. The women's volleyball side beat Sheffield and Chester 3-0 and the men's basketball completed a clean sweep of weekend victories as they defeated Teeside 87-77 in the National Trophy.
