Way back in fall 2007, I had bought a WWE DVD called "The rise and fall of ECW" and there was a segment on that Disc showing the Caning of Tommy Dreamer.

Now, for those of you who do not know who Tommy Dreamer is, he is a Professional Wrestler who works for WWE, but before he worked with WWE, he was involved with Extreme Championship Wrestling from 1993 to 2001, also known as ECW. In the summer of 1994, an american teenager named Michael Fay was sentenced to 6 cane shots for his crime of vandalising some vehicles in singapore. this created some heavy news for the press, who wrote that 6 cane shots were too brutal for michael fay to handle. remember, he was a teenager, only 18 at the time.

Back in Philadelphia, ECW owner and Promoter Paul heyman came up with an idea. He made a match between Sandman and Tommy Dreamer, in which the loser would suffer 10 cane shots. Sandman was victorious, with help from his valet, Woman, also known as Chris benoit's wife.

Dreamer suffered the 10 shots, and in some peoples eyes, earned the respect of the ECW crowd, because before suffering the cane shots, he was labeled a pretty boy.

While WWE tells us to not try this stuff at home, i went ahead and ignored at and took a brutal shot from a torch turned kendo stick (Both will hurt like a mother)

it's hard to see, but you can certainly hear it.

  • I am a singaporean... and the cane that is used in singapore's prison is a special type of cane...usually one whip is so painful that the individual might blackout or bleed.. after each whip they will get a medical professional to check whether the individual is strong enough to proceed.... this is what we were told in school...

canning is common in singapore for discipline purpose... but its usage has drop as we enter the 21 century...

singapore enforce strong discipline for a reason...

  • @mixkeymouserulz90 You know, Mixkeymouserulz90, i wish we did have that type of discipline here in north america. if we did, everyone over here would be much better behaved.

The "cane" i used was a bamboo torch, cut into 8 pieces, and they were well worn, so that's like 8 little sticks hitting at once. I did it with a shirt, but yeah, it still hurt a lot. I'd do it again with a better camera.

  • wow.... this guy is a noob!

my classmate of 14yrs old had to endure that cause he used violence against my other classmate and he was practically smiling and walking around after that... same strength and a thinner cane (which means it felt more spikier, painer)

oh, and Michael Fay's caning was without the pants (pants down... bare butt) and an extremely thin cane (MUCHMUCHMUCH more pain) and just hits like WHIIIPPPPP!!!

  • @StrawhatxLuffy i was 17 when i done this, and since there's no actual kendo sticks available for minors here, i used the closest thing; a bamboo torch. the strips are thinner than an actual kendo stick, but they're thicker than the ones your classmate got hit with. maybe i'm being a noob getting hit once with my shirt on, but believe me, the guy who hit me was way stronger than whoever whacked your classmate.

  • @StrawhatxLuffy I remeber Michael Fay's spanking. Little punk got what he deserved. It was funny the US government was like "dont cane him", but the rest of the country was all like "go ahead beat the hell out of that little spoiled shit".

  • @StrawhatxLuffy

    Good on you, Singaporean.

Of all the Asian countries I've worked in, Singapore is the most impressive.

Take a drive from Singapore into Malaysia ( a place called Johor Baru), and...my god.....you won't believe the difference.

  • @IIPluto i AM from Singapore.. .XD!

it's not really strict though... maybe it is compared to America though

  • @StrawhatxLuffy

If you hv the chance, visit Singapore or ask any American who has worked there.

It's an extremely disciplined/strict society. No slums, no "projects", no drug dealing on the streets, perfectly safe 24hrs on the streets, impossible to bribe any cops, unlawful to even spit chewing gum in public. Then, you'll understand why M.Fay's behaviour is totally and shockingly unacceptable there.

  • @IIPluto yea, i have to guess that's true.

But some parts of the USA are actually good. :D

but still, what do I know? XD

  • @StrawhatxLuffy

Those were my opinions. I've worked for 15 yrs in the US (oil and gas).

In Singapore, u don't get low-class violent Niggers, it's illegal to own firearms, drugs carry a death penalty, you don't get drive-by shootings, and schools don't hv metal detectors, corruption is taboo etc etc. Wonderful place.

The conduct/behaviour of American kids (in contrast) is so shockingly "low quality', that it is "out of place' in a place such as Singapore.

  • @IIPluto well, you seem like one for them by calling others silly...

who are you to judge anyways?

Their country is superb, just like ours... except for, a few hooligans unfortunately.

    Anyway, Shouldn't judge others
