I can't stand it when people say this type of rock & roll is 60's stuff. Musically, the 50 continued until 63'. After that the Brittish invasion happened starting the 60's. Later American artists adapted to the new Brittish sound and added their own flavour aswell. This ended up creating true 60's rock & roll later on. This all happened after 63. Anything before then still thrives off the 50's so really, once again it is still musically the 50's.

Neat to see the two most popular nostalgia decades at the LA Restaurant Row photo during the actual '50s- the Gay '90s (not the 1990s youngins!) and the Roaring '20s. Those decades are now found only in museums and antique shops, and the '50s is heading in that direction (though many diners are still around, though with a more current focus). If you went back to the '50s, you'll get people saying "I miss the (insert decade)"!

This is a 60s song. The song was written by Ernie Maresca and Dion DiMucci. It was recorded in 1961 by Dion, backed by vocal group The Del-Satins. Released on Laurie Records, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for one week in October of that year, and also reached number 11 in the UK charts.
