Do you have to put currants in the pudding because I'm allergic?

No but you might want to add a little sugar as they provide some sweetness

Thank you so much for all your comments asking for more videos! I hope to have a new recipe for you for Halloween. I promise this time it won't involve peanut butter in any way. Or onions ;-)

What is Golden Syrup? Is it like corn syrup, or honey? We don;t have it here in the US, as far as I know.

If you go to foodsubs dot com (replace the dot with a full stop and remove the spaces) and search for golden syrup, it will give you a list of substitutes. If you have a grocer's that specialises in Uk food you can find the real thing there though.

Thanks! I will be making more videos in the future. I've just taken a break while my husband is studying from home and I teach my toddler what "shh, Mummy's recording" means ;-)

Wow, that looks absolutely delicious. I'm totally hooked on this channel now.

One slightly sto0pid question: is the texture of this pudding much different from that of a cake? If you just put a slice of that in front of me without telling me what it is, I would assume it was cake. How is it different? I kind of want to make one after I make some coffee cremes ^_^

This looks great! I do a simple lemon sauce for icing, here in France. It is with confectioner's sugar, lemon juice and just gets heated up a bit. I don't go for complex baking but I sure do like simple stuff. Uprated.
