This pre-World War II (WWII) film profiles the Submarine Training School at New London Connecticut. Features footage of the R4 (R-4) and R11 (R-11) both R-1 class diesel submarines.
I didn't go to SubSchool, I was direct input from the surface fleet as RMSN. My trip to NLON was to go through the escape training. We used the Stienke Hood. Qualified (SS) 1967 on USS Simon Bolivar SSBN641.
01:37 Hangs up a picture of his old school teacher? Freaky...

I was direct input also. I qualified (SS) on the Bream SS243 in '66. This movie is a while before my time but interesting.
