man, those black "hebrew israelites" are quite a tenacious group, aren't they? I have never come across a group of people so fiercely committed to their hypothetical (and very unlikely!) ethnic origins.

Hey thanks so much for the lessons. They are very good introductory tools, and are quite helpful refreshers for me, who once began to learn the Hebrew language. Just out of curiosity--and no offense intended--do you have a preferred theory of the pronunciation of Ha-Shem? JHVH? or YHWH? or something else? Just wondering. Thanks.

I really find this useful - Also your voice is amazing, very nice to listen to.

Yes, I understand what you are talking about. From everything I have read and heard, the Yemenite pronunciation is probably the closest we can get to the original pronunciation of Hebrew. I am working on learning that dialect but it is not easy.

Question. When writing a name in Hebrew Which letters should be used in replacement of a W? How is a W sound written?

@SCORNDOGGMELACH
Generally, if you want a "W" sound in Hebrew you use the Vav. There is some indication (and some still use it this way) that the vav should really be sounded out as a "W".
