@TheCucamongaKid lol there is no such thing you were too young, this was and excused as not to tell that you sucked.. Think about what team doesnt want "too young" talented players?

THIS ANSWERS EVERYONES QUESTIONS lol:
These tryouts were held in 2006 all throughout California for ANYONE that was interested in trying out. It had a $150 entrance fee, and the requirement was age 16+. Whether you went to school or not didn't matter.
I know because I tried out in Oakland on November 18th, 2006. I scored 2 goals against a goalie that played in the MLS but then left and wanted to come back. They thought I was too young (I was barely 16) but I was close. Oh well...

Shouldn't be holding tryouts, they should be scouting. The MLS is so sad.

not its just the people trying out who were mostly players at bay area universities and even some high schoolers.
