The original was written and first recorded by husband and wife Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie in 1929..and it was deeper like this one but the Zeppelin song is AMAZING the drum, most the drumming and the guitar...Led 4ever

it is just my opinion led takes the cake when it comes to this song but props to the guy for writing a song worthy for a remake

This version, or the APC one, is way better than the Zep version, in my opinion.

@smokindog Not true. Zeppelin's melodies are much different. Ignorant bullshit to call it "re-packaged". Did Hendrix merely "re-package" dylan's watchtower too?

August 6th, 1973 to be exact. :-)

Brilliant

@rhlc744 No it's a cover.

This is very Hippy, couldn't hear this too long without smoking some dope.
Thanks God the Zeppelin re-edited a real blues version of it!

@terribleone794 this is the original

Great job people! Great video! You really capture the devastation with the visuals.

zeppelins covered just the lyrics,the rest has nothing in common

Actually zeppelins version is a re-working of the original. Lot of the original melody lines are there ....just turned around and twisted a bit. They just re-packaged it for the Hippies and pot heads of the 70's :-)

Thanks! Some of the pics are of Paducah Ky. from the 1937 flood. Look at 2:52-55, My father in law helped rescue folks out of windows with a boat in that flood.
