Now governments, since democracy was invented, are supposed to be owned by the governed, yet you are seeing how governments are a tool of the rich. Why? Because the rest of us are either asleep, or pursuing outlandish conspiracy theories when the real conspiracy is right in front of us: rich people run everything. They are siphoning off the assets of all countries and stashing them away in their own asset instruments backed by armies.

@pas9ify isnt the euro owned by the same international bankers that own the fed? hence the greek/american debt, also do u really think that a bunch of people would want to set something up to selflessly help out a countrys dollar, beacause europes dollar was doing better, and do you really think because its not owned by the people of the u.s. that it doesnt influence political decisions.

No one can read every book, nor do I waste my time on bad bets. May I suggest you read the brief article about the Federal Reserve on Wikipedia. And you can go to the "Talk" page for lively discussion by professional economists.

@mrearlygold you are spot on. i used to listen to this goober, i read this book and then realized beck probably never had read it himself. if he had read it he would not be acting the way he does. he tries to marginalize the "crazy talk" as he puts it, in regard to the conspiracy behind the fed. beck is either one of three things. 1)Liar 2)Traitor that knows the truth and doesnt speak it or 3) Knows the truth and is cowardly, or realizes he gets rich with things how they are now.
