Sleater-Kinney Live in Seattle 1999

Sleater-Kinney live at the Breakroom in Seattle. The song is "Youth Decay" from their 2000 album "All Hands On The Bad One". Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein, Janet Weiss. The vocals barely registered, but the beat is cool. Great drummer action. Janet Weiss is fantastic with Quasi as well. Nice use of a cramped camera perspective. I like it.

I think this is the quintessential Sleater-Kinney song. It starts out at 100mph with one of Carrie's many trademark riffs. When the bridge arrive it like the song falls over the edge while we catch a breath with more one-of-a-kind Carrie riffs. Then back to 100mph. These gals got the job done!

Lenaura- i commented similarly (ut it isnt showing up now and Im too lazy to re-type it verbatim. I didn't take get a photo, but said hi & shook her hand. she seemed like a very nice person. an unrelated photo story though, I met kinsella once, real drunk (owen AA show followed w/by a late nite so he played for a long time- safe to say he hammered back a few in the process). my nerdy friend made him retake this pose 4+ times. but kinsella was nice about it, even if i felt awkward sitting there.

Janet is awesome. :) I met her briefly @ a Quasi concert once (or said hi and shook her hand anyway lol). Seemed like a really nice person. This video is really cool compared to some of the other live & fan-captured videos floating around. I like how the majority of the video centers around Janet's drumming, and when the camera wasn't panned there, the other angles were unique. Sketchy sound quality aside- along w/ Ironclad, this is easily my favorite from AHOTBO too. Thanks for the upload. =)
