well, a valiant effort of young Kissin, but Pogorelich remains unrivalled in this piece!

marvelous intuition

....Straordinario Eugeny Kissin....già in giovanissima età....Bravo!!!!...*****

Sounds like he forgot to take himself out of Rach-mode for this performance. I like Kissin but there's also another recording I found a while back (posted on youtube) of his heroic polonaise... it's possibly the worst ever!!! Just saying.

It's nice to see Kissin still in making.

very passionate interpretation of this piece... I really love kissin... his performances have various style and various expression ... he is not the artist who can be said with only one phrase .... he is like ... that he expresses everything he imagines ... even at this teenage ... really genious gift ...
this is not chopinic ... but really impressive interpretation ...

I have the "better" recording you're talking about.

How can you say this is bad?? This is a very passionate performance. Kissin is regarded as one of the greatest Chopin interpreters. He was not even 16 years old at this concert. His later recording is much more developed. But this performance can certainly stand on its own. What nerve you have to call a great artist like Kissin "bad".
This is not Chopin! I respect Kissin, but this is not one of his best performances

There's a much better recording of this by Kissin when he is older.
