Township Bike Success! (2008)

Life in the townships of South Africa isn't always easy. The people must contend with difficult living conditions, jobs that take them far from the community, and rising costs of transportation. Enter the Bicycle Empowerment Network (BEN). It is having a major impact on the South African township of Masiphulelele. The group has helped create jobs and develop a cheap and healthy form of transportation. It has also developed tourism within the township to show people how the majority of south africans live, and how they are eager and excited to welcome them into their homes.
