immenso nella tecnica, nelle intenzioni, interpretazione del personaggio, grande capacità nel dosare la voce ( sempre molto bella e mai spinta), grandissimo baritono, passeranno degli anni affinchè ne venga uno come lui.

@FreniLover83 Concordo assolutamente. Soprano eccelso, ma il marito è quello che mi impressiona sempre di più... 3:43 un autentico colpo di cannone... e nonostante una potenza spropositata rimane sempre perfettamente sui binari riuscendo ad essere perfino quasi aggraziato (cosa ben difficile per un basso).

Magnificent! What a sumptuous production, and this Council Scene is really one of Verdi's very greatest. The singing superlative, Cappuccilli is tremendous! They don't stage opera like this anymore. Does the whole performance exist on DVD?

@lampardm I know people who worked with him (choristers) and they say hearing him live from upstage was simply breathtaking. No doubt one of the greatest baritones who ever lived; moreover here you can hear the greatest bass ever (IMO), a godly soprano and a very good tenor as well. If perfection exists in this world this is how it sounds...

Tra i vari baritoni che ho sentito, tra live e cd, fare il Boccanegra sicuramente Cappuccilli è il più grande. E' sempre dentro la parte, con una grandezza e una nobiltà veramente unica!
