This is a how-to video on one of the best ways to pack and send gifts to our troops stationed overseas. The G.I. Woodshop, Inc. purpose is to send hobby and woodshop supplies to our troops stationed at Forward Operating Bases in Iraq and Afghanistan. We became aware that the troops need other items that are hard or unable to get while over there which can not just help them - it may save a life. (example: a good waterproof sunblock and insect repellant in 120 degree heat while out on patrol may help a troop keep from becoming a casualty by instead of swatting at flies / mosquitos, and by helping to keep the sweat out of his eyes so that he sees potential threats. Gel inserts and footcare are a biggie item also - once they "armor up" with all their gear and weapons, they are carrying 80, 100 lbs or more. Gel inserts in their boots can be a HUGE help.
The ladies of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, "Big D" Chapter 57 are sponsoring some of these packages. We greatly appreciate their help! These badly needed items are a lot better than the cookies and cakes the troops normally get... if they get anything at all.
THANK YOU to all who are helping support our troops! - reeko
