@Chemowski Dude NTSC was Canada's format too. Some of the music does sound better slowed down but most of it is better played at the original 30fps it was intended for.

I watched them side by side, in near synchronous (as game play wasn't obviously spot on). I saw no difference visually... did I miss something?

For example, if you live in the U.S., your NES console will be NTSC and it is designed to only work with NTSC televisions. Likewise, if you live in the U.K., your NES console will be a PAL console designed only to work with PAL televisions.
