@justadroid The bigger PT6s are supposed to be flown at higher altitudes, we have the same engine on our King Airs and you don't see fuel flow in the 300 range until you hit about 17000'.

@bobo4533 Honeywell vs. Pratt. Actually Texas Turbines has sold 27 Supervan 900 conversions in the last 2 years since approval and delivered 20 converted aircraft in 10 different countries. The Honeywell engine has a base 7000 TBO vs. the Pratt 3600 base TBO, 8-9 gal/hr lower fuel burn, shorter takeoff, better rate of climb, faster cruise speed, faster engine response, torque and temperature limiting, lower overhaul cost, etc...... any questions????

72 Gallons per hour for 190knots? a bit thirsty but i guess for they payload...

Texas Turbines converts Caravans to a 900 HP Honeywell turbine. Thats what I call awesome!
