@bluemoonseller this guy is for real, he left the shaolin temple, to stay in the states there is a film called kungfu monks in america by Mei Juin Chen & Martha Burr. he is one of the monks, if im not mistaikin he is the monk in queens new york, you 'll probably can watch this film on youtube, enjoy
I get your hamstring 'muscle ' point, Your right no doubt yet there is a ligament point. That''s where it gets tricky and the limb loses stability. It is an extreme case, certainly.. Like dancers when they get old they are basically crippled because of the ""ligaments"" being over stretched. And certainly being flexible is never a bad thing . Thanks for your response...J
one thing about this guy...i don't know why hes kind of losing his breath....not to brag or anything but i used to do kicks for hours before getting tired.
well my style of kung fu is northern Shaolin and i remember when i was 3 years old my dad would make me stretch my hamstrings to the point when i would start to cry, even though it was so painful when i was a kid, it pays off. now im extremely flexible. i remember kicking a guy in the face when he tried grabbing me from behind, and i was still facing forward, although i dont like to fight, i think being flexible is never a bad thing when defending your self
If your Knee ligaments for example are to streched out from sitting cross legged you can not flex the leg when you throw a high from kick...I had to lay off sitting cross legged in meditation so that that knees would tighten and stabilize...It happened to me, so he's right. But you need not worry about it.
Alright Zhang Lipeng your trying to say just bring your knee closer to your body and when you kick, don't stracth, just lay back and kick right?

i dont understand what this guy means, when he says " being too flexable is not good" u can never be too flexable. the more flexable u r the better.
