Nice Surprise!!! PRS sounds damn GooooooooD!!!I didn't know I could have that classic LP sound and cheezy Strat tone in 1 guitar....boy this is worth a look. 600 pounds is some prize...but....i paid 1300 pounds 4 years back for a LP...... i think people need to look beyond Fender and Gibson with an open mind...an obviously that overrated Ibanez too.

i went from an American strat to a prs SE and let me tell my American strat had sharp frets buzzing even after 2 guitar center setups albeit guitar center setups may not be the best but i bought a SE and from day one it has a perfect neck and its just so warm. I'm an addict and i now i am raising money to buy either the new Santana SE or a ce22 used.

we can't see his feet. what if he's hitting pedals to change the tone?.....dun dun dun!!! lol jk

PRS guitars are worth the money. They are lovingly put together using top quality components. I have played several guitars over the years and whilst, I agree Strats and Les Paul's are great guitars, the PRS Custom is better. It does it all, gives a wonderful bright clean sound right through to heavy, raunchy rock and beyond.
The playability is second to none as well (if you like to play fast, this is your rig)
Is it worth the money.... Absolutely! Anything else is second best !

Many of the SE's could almost pass (sound and feel) for American made guitars. I have the Mike Mushok baritone and it was such a great investment. I'm saving for a custom 24, Each time I pick up a Gibson now it just feels "off"....PRS will get my money for years to come....I would love to tour the factory.

I needed cash several years ago and sold my CE22 (I think it was) I miss it almost as much as the '74 Gold Top Les Paul Deluxe I also let go. No question PRS is #1 on my list, for the money. They're wonderful instruments. I think people who "cut their teeth" on Les Pauls would be more likely to be PRS fans than Strat people. I love the Strat sound, but their set-up and playability just doesn't suit my palate. On a Strat, I'm always banging the pick on the body just under the strings.

well, whats the deal with the 4-500 $ ones, im a guitarist of 12 years, but, i hear bands like creed and nickelback who have this beautiful sustained amazing sound, they use prs..are the cheaper ones any different?

@rockband vonamp you guys are fucking horrible.
A new custom 24 without a 10 top and moon inlays will run around 2 grand
If you know where to look. You cant trust guitar center they are wayyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced
PRS's are about the same price as gibsons and are way better
You just have to be smart enough to know guitar center is ripping you off

I beg to differ. I was just at Music Village (local guitar shop), and I played an $800 ESP guitar (which was brilliant, don't get me wrong), then a $600 PRS, and the PRS surpassed it be metaphoric MILES! I am a fan for life, having just played one for about an hour today.
PRS
ESP
Gibson
those are the best, in my mind.
