People. He's not trying to turn you into a pro triathlete. He is trying to say you can be a really good triathlete on a local or age group level and not look like an emaciated twig. If anything this type of training done correctly will prevent you from having to visit a physician.

@robw0124 I'm pretty sure strengthening your body in a functional way, especially with deadlifts and squats is only going to make your a more explosive athlete who is less prone to injury. Can't see how that would be bad in any way.

This is great Ben. I am inspired by it. These other guys are just jealous! Keep up the great work.

this video is laughable. It's on ST now. The game is up
if I swam that poorly I would want to kill myself

@realalbertan You'd probably swim that bad too if you were trying to swim in slow-motion at a 3 minute 100m pace so the camera could keep steady.

@bengreenfieldfitness ... and the over rotation of the head and Faux Sighting in the pool are helping you how?
at age 11 I probably swam a faster 1500 than the 'model' could at max effort... why not swim easy at 1:20-30 /100 metres and slow the film down?

@robw0124 Go to NIH website (or use google scholar) and go through every research study on weight training and economy/efficiency for cycling/running. Look in the methods section at the exercises used.
