Iranian woman pardons man for acid attack

An Iranian woman who was blinded by a suitor when he threw acid on her face has spared her attacker.
The man had been due to be blinded himself in a retribution sentence.
Ameneh Bahrami was attacked back in 2004 when she refused Majid Movahedi's offer of marriage.
She suffered major acid burns on her face and body and lost her sight.
Ameneh Bahrami said: "If anyone throws acid on others from now on they will surely receive an-eye-for-an-eye retribution. I forgave him but others after me may not."

Apparently she "changed her mind" after she was pressured by various "humanitarian groups" to spare that asshole's sight.
So from now on you may consider "humanitarian groups" to be pro-terrorist, anti-female and anti-justice vermin who hide behind ideals that they themselves contradict the most through their actions.

I have great admiration for Miss Bahrami's pure and generous heart and I don't know if I would be as forgiving to someone who destroyed my life simply because I didn't want to marry him. Whether he realized it or not, her attacker destroyed his own life as well. Once he gets out of prison, what woman will want to be with him let alone marry him knowing what he is capable of? God bless you Amaneh for your forgiveness and may you find happiness one day soon ensh'Allah.

Because she is not a barbarian as is her attacker, she refuses to go through with it. The 12 yrs. this bastard serves is inadequate but we often give murderers even less time, so we are hardly in a position to point fingers. I can understand where she is coming from. The SOB must have died 1,000 deaths as he waited for this moment. Leaving the door open for this punishment to others such as him ensures that paltry jail time will not be the only punishment for similar attacks, which are common
