lets just say too much, but in my area there hard to find, let alone pick and choose which one you want, and to bring one up from south of the border was a expensive option, and troublesome, since the border wants to go over the vehicles and let alone our own Government inspection when i go to put it in my name, and the headaches involved with a international ownership swap would be something else!, thus i payed $1,900 and that includes the turbine rims, and a '71 302w and AOD on the side,

also i have been able to sell parts off the truck as we come across other parts, sold the 9" rear end for $200 and maybe i might have the old tailgate sold for $100 and then i have a extra hood, the owner gave me a really nice one, thus i got a extra hood for sale, then i have a set of headers that came with the truck but ironically don't fit, ah well they would have never have fit anyways when we put the truck on the 4x4 frame, the dang full length headers run into the front drive shaft!

thats on my 88 f250 tho. the 77 will just get a four link and some fox coil overs to make it a crawler type truck, its gonna be used mainly for trails and the 88 will be for the dunes and cruisin around

well i can fit 35's now with no problems other then off set of the wheels. 37's will be on there when i get home again but only cause im gonna modify the fenders and make a baja style fender that sits higher up and wider out to fit the tires tehn do a solid axle conversion and a 6 inch lift then possible 39's if they look appropriate

you should be able to fit 39-42" tires easily with a 9-12 inch lift, but i am thinking a 6" lift is as high as you want to go,unless you want to sink some major money into it, maybe a 2-3 inch body lift is in order to top the 6" lift, i know the costs, because i was pricing out a number of lift heights, and you can easily do a 6" lift with out buying a major suspension kit,you can do it with stock Ford parts, heck i got 1 ton E-350 Ambulance coil springs in the front of my truck, it sits up now!

sounds good too me! a 73-79 Ford short box 4x4 has such a nice look! short and sporty! and with a 6" lift the stance is stunning! i am so glad i went with a lift, also if ya want to stay in the loop on my truck, i suggest you subscribe to my channel, and check out my other videos, and thanks for the comment, and watching,

hi
hey i have a 79 short bed lariat
with only 60thousand original miles..
my trucks looks lower in the front.
how hard is to put a leveling kit on the front... (2 inches)?
will the handling be the same?

I would love to have my truck level but if is gonna afect the handling i won't mess with it..
it drives super nice right now..
what do you sugest?

thanks man..

well i am thinking you might have some tired front coil springs, also these trucks came with a factory height difference, the rear end is taller, since when you have a load in the bed, the truck will level out, instead of the nose aiming skyward when you have a load in the bed,how far off is the difference? just 2 inches? i would leave it alone, as you can run into problems with the pitman arm,and other steering linkages, but if you want some tough front coils get some out of a 75-91 E-450 ambulance
