wow that is insane. Is it easy to control? Id love to do it, but Im worried Id turn the wrong way or something and well.. plummet to my death.

They say ghosts haunt the place of their death.If you plummeted to your death in Yosemite,would that be such a bad thing?..Better than a dusty old house or mossy old castle,if you ask me.

When you hangglide do you use your body as a rudder to steer? Because thats what it looked like you were doing.

@dpawkng It'ss difficult to "plummet" to your death. Todays hang gliders automatically stabilize when you stop controlling it.

What the camera doesn't show is the drop-off once you clear the point. The terrain slopes gradually, like most launches, and then the dramatic drop-off: an extra 4000' of elevation in a split second! That was the most breathtaking aspect of the flight for me.

15 minutes. The park services only allows us to fly in the early morning when there is no lift.

True! I'm usually really dialed into the Yosemite landing but this time I was a little distracted by the fear of damaging my camera.
