Wilson of the War Crimes Commission is seeking Franz Kindler, mastermind of the Holocaust, who has effectively erased his identity. Wilson releases Kindler's former comrade Meinike and follows him to Harper, Connecticut, where he is killed before he can identify Kindler. Now Wilson's only clue is Kindler's fascination with antique clocks; but though Kindler seems secure in his new identity, he feels his past closing in. Video from Archive.org.

  • mono: I read some sort of 'film theory' article on wikipedia [I know, I know but stay with me ;)] and there was some sort of quote by someone which the essence was that even a lesser film by a great director is better than a great film by a lesser director.

And I think that's true in many ways. :)

  • perhaps my fav. film....well one of them.

  • This is the unauthorized autobiography of Ramm Emmanuel. I think I saw baby OB running around the clock smoking a cigarette and beating up elderly white voters! Ahh the beginning of little acorns.

  • This is based on a true story... except the ending... in real life the Nazi got away, moved to Texas and became a policy maker for the Bushes.

  • Run of the mill suspense story- Hitchcock could do it ten times better.

  • Amazing! Thanks for sharing this film!

  • Wells says somewhere that the good stuff ended up on the cutting room floor which is hard to believe considering how effective this film is.

  • 5*****

  • The Film Rocks!!!

  • This is truly beautiful, but pipe smoke during a surreptitious pursuit? Boink!
