Yields: 9 ½ dozen

Ingredients:
1 (17.5oz) pkg. sugar cookie mix
1/3 cup butter, softened
1 egg
Orange paste food coloring
2 oz. semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled

Preparation Directions:
~ Line a 8 x 4-inch loaf pan with foil extending over sides of pan. In a medium bowl mix together cookie mix, butter, and egg until a soft dough forms.
~ On a work surface place ¾ cup of dough. Knead in the desired amount of food coloring. Press dough evenly in bottom of pan. Divide remaining dough in half. Gently press one half on top of orange layer. With the remaining dough knead in chocolate until color is uniform. Gently press evenly on top of plain dough. Refrigerate for 1 ½ to 2 hours.
~ Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Remove dough from pan, cut crosswise into ¼-inch slices. Cut each slice into 5 edges. Place wedges on ungreased cookie sheet 1-inch apart.
~ Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are golden. Cool 1 minute and remove form cookie sheets to wire rack to cool completely.
