Derived from the original Gerber Hinderer comes the Hinderer CLS, deemed the Combat Life Saver. Ther Gerber Hinderer CLS has an oversized thumbstud to open the 440A stainless steel partially serrated blade. The blade can be folded back into the knife by activating the patended liner lock system. To keep a low profile and for tactical reasons a black non-reflective coating has been added to the Hinderer CLS. On the opposite end of the knife is a fold-out seatbelt cutter and a rigid window punch Built into the handle is an oxygen tank wrench.

  • @troy5690 ah no - havent - BUT that makes it more sensible to me - Better if they called it the Rick H. Lol

how about a knife for Smedley Butler?

  • @KRN762 Watch my vid. It comes out fast. Doesn't need assist. Plus, if they make it in assist or auto theres certain countries it cannot be carried.

  • @rex2074 I guess you have never heard of Rick Hinderer.

  • what a crappy name though - a hinderer? something that holds you back?

i guess if it hinders your descent into crisis -

but for the most part id be hard pressed to equip something to my person emblazoned - HINDERER

    bad juju

  • I'm a working EMT, and I have to say that there hasn't been a day I've gone to work without this knife. I've owned it for one year now and it's served its purpose. The only con I can spot out is that the Oxygen tank opener will wear out if you're attempting to open O2 tanks which have been extremely tightened. Feels great in the hand!

  • Gerber needs this exact knife in an automatic or at least an assist.

    Very good looking knife.

  • i have this knife (and lots others). for me, this is the benchmark by which i will judge all future knives

  • i love gerber knifes. might have to pick this up

  • is this knife assisted opening?

  • Think I found my next knife. I have a Gerber firestorm already that I really like.
