  • an obvious stage by the dems having that guy with the gun there. Give me break, if you actually believe this crap, you're an idiot.

  • reesk8,

    Liberty vs. anarchy and chaos.

Didn't we already live in a time where many citizens were armed and openly displayed their weapons?

The whole idea behind civilization,in my view, is to become increasingly more civil, not regress.

If having everyone walking around armed is such a great deterrent to crime, then why do we fight so hard to stop nuclear proliferation? Wouldn't every nation possessing nukes be a deterrent to nuclear war?

    Gays,guns and criminals!

    Who shot Harvey Milk?

  • States Rights & Small fed gov.

    I'll agree to that.

  • And your vote will be a violation of your own principles for liberty.

    Live and let live, dude.

You had it right the first time.

We need to be consistent about defending our rights to life, liberty and property.

How 'bout this: let's get the government out of marriage entirely! Let's leave it a private or church affair. Now, if your church doesn't want to sanction gay marriage, it doesn't have to!

For centuries, the church managed marriage. Why is it any business of the state?

    Small govt.

  • I don't bother them.

As long as they don't bother me.

But if it come to a vote? I'll Vote NO!

  • Yep! Unfortionatly true.

    Plus Continued, n.a.f.t.a.

    Unsecure borders

& Possibly, a few other things.

  • So what do you want to do, use the law to restrict guns in meetings?

Won't work. They will still bring them in concealed.

Better solution: the speaker says: "I won't speak here as long as anyone has a gun in this room. All those who agree with me, walk out. We'll walk back in when the guns are gone."

The law is a blunt instrument. Private action works better.

  • I'm not gay, but when two gay dudes call themselves "married" it neither "picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." It is therefor their right, under their right to Liberty to get married. If we want to keep the liberals out of our lives, then we must be consistent about defending liberty. That means being tolerant of all peaceful behavior, including marriage. If we violate their rights, then they will call us hypocrites when we try to exercise our own rights. Leave the gays alone.

  • Right on!

    Socialism is more government control.

The left will not admit that the USSR and Nazi Germany (and fascist Italy) were all socialist.

Add to that list Cuba, N. Korea, and most African nations. Yuck!

Socialism sucks, and we are heading that way.

But Bush took us part of the way himself.

He signed the medicare drug benefit, and started the overspending.

  • Wearing a sidearm is not related to public indecency.

It is not illegal to be an immature moron, and must never be as long as the moron is not harming anyone else.

    That's called "liberty."

I own no firearms. But I defend the rights of gun owners. I'm also not gay, but I defend their rights as well.

I might agree with you that carrying a gun to a meeting is ill-advised. My point is that it must remain legal to do so.
