  • Excellent video. They don't make fire apparatus like they used to. The ones in the video are true classics.

  • Hi: Around 1960-62, this boy lived at 1659, same block as the old firehouse at 1623 N. Damen. I hung around there after school a lot. I'm still strange for all I know. The photos from those days trigger many memories. This is precious history. Thanks very awesome much!!! I hope there's more to be found somewhere. Sign me still a silly kid after all these years in a bigger, older body! ~JBK
