in memoriam Princess Azadeh ( Valagohar Azadeh) ( www.azadeh.org , © Dr Shahpour Iranshahi/ Yadgare Shahanshahan, Photo courtesy ["as a little Princess"] by Mr Ahmad Hassanein Chafik, Princess Azadeh's cousin)

Admiratively and unanimously dubbed as the "Joan of Arc" (Jeanne d'Arc) of Persia for her heroic action in Paris as early as 1979, the late Princess Azadeh, who passed away in France on 23rd February 2011 , was the only daughter of Her Imperial Highness Princess Ashraf PAHLAVI.

May her heroic soul rest in peace

This first video tribute is dedicated
to our beloved Princess Azadeh.
The lyrics of this piece of music is a poem
"Do not stand at my grave and weep"
("Ne pleure pas devant ma tombe")
written at age 27 in 1932
by Mary Elizabeth Frye (1905-2004) :

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.

I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.

I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush

Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.

I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.

I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.
