I agree, he was never a coward. In one scene later when Jay will defeat him in fight, Finger will ask to kill him. So for him it is better to be even killed then to surrender. That's very brave and "manly", I think.
The only time when he is vulnerable, it is when he is with Medea. And I love that about him! It makes him a likeable bully, a bully, you feel for.
Agreed. They complimented each other so well. I was kind of taken aback by the poor writing in the scene in the sewers where he kind of wusses out. I felt it was very out of character for him. Finger was never really that cowardly (a bully sure); his only blindside was really on things regarding Medea.
I love this despite how much I hated Finger.
