A handful of giant oil companies that met secretly with Vice President Dick Cheney in 2001 are poised to get "unusual" no-bid contracts from the Iraqi government to boost production -- further proof that the U.S. invaded Iraq for oil, says Congressman Dennis Kucinich.

  • Oh man... ... either Dennis is gonna keep trying to be president or hes gonna become president and end up being assassinated by the Illuminati while attempting to fix America.

  • i second that. Mr. Kucinich could do more great work for our country, given a more prominent role.

  • Kuchinich is right on the money! A handful of giant oil companies met secretly with fuck head cheney. You know who was in that meetiing? Yep, BP! And you know what the end result of the deregulation resulting from that meeting? The Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Halliburton built the base of the oil rig and cheney made billions. When that asshole dies, he will go to the deepest circle of hell, I hope he likes the heat. You look evil up in the dictionary and cheney's picture should be there!

  • Alternative energy exists. It is the oil companies who lobby for that control of the system.

  • For how long? Lets fix this problem by creating another right? Truthfully, there are better alternatives that are driven into the ground by energy companies who stand to profit from keeping things the way they are. Consumers don't benefit, but since when do they care about consumers?

And it's ANWR, not the phonetic equivalent.

  • you don't need oil, seriously. There are so many other technologies help back its shocking. In the coming years expect to see a surge of other forms of energy.

  • god bless this guy. its not about the oil they say. they invade these countries with our flesh and cash so they can grab the resources. i know we need the oil but this is not the way to go about it. too much destruction and suffering.maybe he can do it in 2012. obama seems to be following the old playbook. frankly im disappointed but not surprised at our non changing foreign policy. war with multiple oil rich muslim countries? what a coincidence! way to collapse whats left of us.

  • This is why nobody should join the military...you are not fighting for freedom..you are fighting for some rich assholes who want to control 3rd world countries to exploit them...

If there is ever a necessety to really fight a war...I will...like in WWII...Those are wars that are worth dying for...

But Iraq war is all business...so was vietnam...

the USA is a great country..but people need to be wiser at the ballots. Obama is a good president...but you need to be more consistent.

  • Did someone NOT know this ??/ hmmm
