went to a catholic school since i was small and spent a significant amount of time being taught 'religion' as a subject which was just worship and prayer and i wasn't taught much even about Catholicism. grew up and discovered i wasn't catholic. was just labelled that by my parents when young and that i wasted a significant amount of time in which i could have been educated worshiping a god i didn't believe in.

7:26 The guy really doesn't want to answer Dawkins' question.

I oppose the rabi's comment, "indoctrination should come from the home or from weekend schools." I've seen problems result from indoctrination; nothing positive from it.
Najda made a great point against correlation that I hope Mukadam took note of. I'm glad Dawkins and Sheerman challenged him as well.
If this kind of program is going to be useful at all, one should facilitate a single topic at a time to resolution, or at least in depth, instead of cutting off each subject just before their apex.

"What about the rights of the children themselves?" Fucking right, RD. Sick of hearing religious parents bleating on about their rights to bring their children up as they choose.

how many times must that bishop say England was a christian country? -____-

Perhaps the most reasonable religious person I saw..

Internet brofist to to the Rabbi. This is the way we need to go.

Total pipe dream, but a good one nevertheless.

Just imagine if the world decided to scrap the idea of god, only keeping some of the morals and taking an agnostic approach! Agnostic approach being that, we dont know if there is a god, we aren't sure if there is a heaven and a hell, and does it really matter if there was?
As long as we go on living side by side "loving" our neighbours both locally and globally.
Rabbi is one of the most reasonable religious people but Richard Dawkins still sends everyone home with red asses.

The speaker at 0:16 is probably the only religious speaker I've ever respected. Very valid points, religion needs to be kept in the homes.
