@yeltrahmas707 Sure, evaluation by nature is not objective, but the means of evaluating can possess objective qualities. In your instance, there is a heavy bias, leading to an illogical association of bad music to bad band. Just because a band doesn't produce good music doesn't mean it plays poorly. Why do you get upset that they're covering Jack? I'm not at all offended, and I'm an indie fanatic. It's the hipsters that take pride in their music. Sadly, most of the community is hipster.

@Ruruthekangaroo How can one take music objectively? When you listen to music you form an opinion. I personally dislike Maroon 5 because of his voice, lyrics and all around sound. I just get upset when I see my least favorite band covering Jack. And yea he's playing it right, but it's just irritating. I'm not stupid, just opinionated. And look, most of the community agrees with me :)

Now, where did you get that Maroon 5 is the worst band on earth? Do you think Jack White would agree with this? Take music objectively my friend. This cover does the original justice, and one cannot argue otherwise simply because he/she disllikes the band. I always figured that more intelligent people listened to more sophisticated music. I guess not.

I guess I'm the one who needs to be the devil's advocate and say that even though Maroon 5 will never be as awesome as the White Stripes, they are definitely better than a lot of pop bands that they are competing with. Adam Levine can really sing, and James Valentine can play some great guitar. I am happy that Maroon 5 exists, mostly because I think the alternative is another Kesha or Gym Class Heroes
