First test of DIY cable camera

  • 2 pulley wheels fixed via wood struts to steel tubing (to attach the go-pro to). For the test we used 15m steel wire inside a plastic coating. Tie-downs slung to trees and wire fixed to the tie-down hooks. Quick to set up, light and compact. Took no time to make - vids are simply proof of concept (the cam is too close to objects in the foreground, but like I say). Next is 150m 6mm rope cable (wire cable introduces a slight judder into the film) and test with the bike on local lane.
