The United States' economic downturn is hitting its South hard.

People are struggling to make a living in isolated towns, where jobs are sparse.

you can be poor but you dont have to live like trash. I live on the Miss Gulf Coast and I've been all over the state with my job. Yes its tough here especially after a hurricane rolls through and destroys what little you had but ive also found that if you are determined enough you can make it no matter what odds you face. Here more people rely on welfare instead of job hunting. I moved from a town like this to find a better place in life for myself. It can be done, get off of welfare!!!!
