Backpacking near Mammoth in the Ritter Range! August 17-21 2009. I went with Chris, Lindz, and Joe. What an adventure...that includes long hiking days...black bear encounters...and nice people!

Very nice trip! looks fun! :) i'm a backpacker also. I really liked how you document a lot of activities. I was gonna do the same but then i'm a solo female traveler.. and I don't really feel safe holding a cam for a long time lol.

what was the air temp during the day/night? Im thinking of going next week.

@SPSalimian It was probably into the 80's during the day and 50's at night. But we went in August. Be prepared for winter if you go next week. Because Mammoth is getting snow as we speak.
