The server I'm on hasn't seen any change really. The linkshell I'm on has been around since NA release, and the number of members is growing. The NMs are still being camped, sky is still full of drama, there is still "scheduling" issues with dynamis....I don't think the game is dying, and most of the people I speak with plan to try FFXIV...but not leave FFXI.

That's impressive. I thought myself that the game is dying and most of the areas are empty. Which server are you playing on?

I can still remember the last time I had in FFXI was so empty. There was like no people leveling in Valkrum Dunes, and areas along for partying was empty, up to level 50-60 or so I started to actually see people in Aht Urhgan etc...

I'm on Asura. RDM named Kalekka. I DO think some other MMOs are more user friendly. FFXI is for those looking for a more indepth gameplay, more complicated commands, and far more intense storylines than the simple...pick up quest, kill x# of mobs, return to npc, rinse and repeat for 80 levels.

Oh, I was on Asura myself! So the server is still cool? Which linkshells are the ruling ones now :P ?

Chroma is still a strong Linkshell, but most of the heavy hitters ended up splitting and breaking apart when most got busted for botting or exploiting glitches in Nyzul. The LS I'm in...we've been around for a long time...but I don't think we're among the ruling class. We just specialize in low manning things most people can't do will a full alliance. ...and yeah, the server is still cool. Still around 2000-3000 people online at 2am EST..3000-5000 on during NA primetime

@Kalekkakat Oh! Chroma was the last linkshell I were on. I joined it the first day it started. Good it has done well.

But now I'm really looking forward to FFXIV!!! :D

Oh, just to add, Tenzen was a beast and the reason he was at the middle chorus of the song was because, he was granted the power of the Phoenix (His Sword had the Phoenix in it), there was ONE rule to it, he could not use it against another Avatar. Bahamut (An Avatar) was about to kill everyone and Tenzen made the decision to use it against Bahamut to save everyone and because of it, he was stripped of the power of the Phoenix.
