In the wake of the earthquake that struck China last week, lots of opinions have been expressed about the disaster. In spite of the controversy surrounding the story, one major catastrophe and huge loss for China is now getting the recognition it deserves, the death of 10,000 children.

If it happened in the west, the people would rise up in protest and the government would be forced to pay attention.

In China when the people rise up in protest the government rolls out the tanks and machine guns the crowds. I'm old enough to remember Tiananmen Square being all over the news everyday.
