  • @wildenfree1 wow, so you believe everything on wiki...shivers...I think you'll find the influence of the Dunedin sound of which Mr Carter was a part of has had more of an influence on sjf than anything...lets not go there...so what if they formed in 1985...all other things that sound similar is mere coincidence...stop reading too much into it, they are two diff entities on two different bents...LETS ENJOY GOOD KIWI DAMNED MUSIC!

  • @KARENK72886 Sorry to be pedantic, but Straightjacket were formed in 1986 and Radiohead were formed in 1985...wikipaedia.

  • @wildenfree1 sorry...they were about b4 r'head...

  • this is truly one of the best songs from nz very powerful and meaningful

  • from around 86. Band split soon after and writer of this song, wrote few of their songs...now estranged from rest of the band. There was a reunion few years back in NZ when it was voted top 10 songs of all time in NZ...the writer refused to attend...sad...this is a truyly epic song of melancholy, using brilliant chord progressions...

Hope I got the story straight...feel free to wiki this post!

  • This song is so good, a song for every mood..

  • timeless

  • @carlitojonesius yeah some radiohead tunes def use some of this.

  • @22ness0hayden Dunedin..great city..brilliant train trips to the Gorge..and huge fucking Albatrosses.man u got it all !

  • @wildenfree1 It is a bit, but it's not really typical of their songs. This is Andrew (the 2nd guitarist) singing this song. Usually the main guy (forget his name) does the songwriting and singing and the songs are much heavier. "She Speeds" is one of their classic songs. Great Dunedin band!
