  • hi grate unit!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a ? for you can you email at johnjads@cox.net Thank you John

  • where do I get a backup cooling fan like the one in the video??

  • you say @lexpee 4kw generator vs a 12kw generator..... Yea Im not surprised the 12kw generator is louder. Also you go ahead and make a case so your generator can overheat.

My answer is: No that is not possible, It is a liquid-cooled diesel generator. In a ship with the cooler under the ship.

  • @MrHandyandy10187 Whats to go wrong? He just added a bunch of fail safes to protect it.

  • What a terrible noise. My Kubota 4 kva generator makes less noise.

Make a case around it with sound insulation. that saves more than half the noise.

  • very nice job on that but i think a few to many things to go wrong

  • It appears to be the Changfa "walking tractor" liquid cooled diesel engine. It is used all over China and Asia in numerous applications. Horizontal single cylinder diesel. Very robust but simple design. If these are set up properly they can run for a long time, but keep an eye on the oil level. It has almost a gallon of oil capacity in the sump.

  • PS who the hell cobbled this thing together..MacGyver or Red Green?

  • Dude! why are u changing the oil? they are good storm units, but only as anchors to keep your boat from drifitng away...if u want to be green, you should drain all fluids as to not contaminate the water
