Your reply makes absolutely no sense in relation to a person having worked for the lcbo for twenty years and then being laid off to hire cheaper help. No one grows up and says "I want to work for the LCBO when I get old" ffs.... Also if u read the above and researched other non-liquor board provinces you would see that the prices at the LCBO are comparitively low compared to those provinces..it ain't $20 bread comrad... I would rather the profits return to the public than go to a mega corp.

just think if it was possible to have a Walmart of booze or spread it out to private dealers.Yes the Tax of our greedy government would still be there but prices would drop due to competition. Brewers Retail is really a depot for Molson and Labatts!! Talk about control!! Fuck the commie LCBO!!! Ontario sucks!  It's not a gas station, Imagine if bread was sold this way!! the LCBO employees are not striking about the hours for the part time works, and they dont have 20, 000 workers. there are 7100 employees for the LCBO and they are striking because of the over lapping sick days that they are not being aloud to carry over each year.

Two liquor prices will not go down if we were private. You can cross reference that with Alberta, and BC. Ontario prices are some of the lowest in Canad overall due to it's massive buying power. A private company would still have to pay the taxes regardless... so forget about your 2 buck chuck....jackass.

First, you are slightly unimformed... I appreciate the forum though. One of the biggest issues for workers is that they would like to have the ability to lay off full time employees with no regard for seniority. So say I was a worker who had been worker for the LCBO for 20 years nearing retirement, they could decide to lay me off to hire a 20 yearold to replace me. And casuals don't make 20 bucks an hour. Yep it's a shit time but, it's when our contract ends.
