What amazes me is the man that the exercise is named after is showing the proper way to do his exercise and yet... there are inummarable douches on youtube with technique videos on how to pendlay row

If you actually knew a damn thing about weight lifting you'd know that not all exercises benefit from the eccentric motion. This is one such exercise in which the eccentric portion provides no benefit, and therefore you SHOULD drop the weight.

But who am I kidding, you probably don't even know what eccentric and concentric contractions are.

Get a new gym, or build a home gym. And don't use trainers.

How come his back looks arched when standing, but now when bent over rowing? I believe it is because his lumbar region goes into flexion.

Work on your squats and deadlifts. Progress slowly and give time to your connective tissue and CNS to adapt. It won't happen overnight.

@glennpendlay What set rep scheme should I use to increase the poundage on the peldaly rows? Is 54321 3 times/week good?
