@coolsdon From how I interpreted the novel Pip is slightly innocent... He was fooled into thinking that Miss Havisham wanted him for Estella when he was very young and allowed himself to believe she was his benefactor although she never actually said so. Sorry but Booth appeared just as shortsighted as Pip needed to be and Pip isn't a typical 19th century farrier! He's far more ambitious and yet gullible...

@enchantedbywinter ....I think it no more likely that anyone be fooled that Douglas Booth could pass as a farrier as Kim Kardshian being the next General Secretary of the United Nations.Working in a forge in the 19c would hardly breed a innocense based character.Wooden and innocense are def not the same thing!!
