Just saw a SD70ACe leading a coal train last night in west Michigan
-
@casslakechris wow and 2 SD75M's trailing rare catch

The 16-710G3C-T2 engine in the newer SD70s is without question the best sounding locomotive engine ever on the rails. The deep rumble and turbo whinning at idle is just amazing.

@Altecss I know many people may have answered your question, but these days, at CSX, we'll get fired for breaking a knuckle as "bad" train handling.

Can I ask what camcorder you used? The sound quality is about the best I've ever heard shy of a "professional" video (like Pentrex, etc.).

This is actually a piece of crap point and shoot Kodak camera.

Why do most trains start off slow and then throttle up, why not just pin it and go?
Altecss 4 years ago
Slack action can cause the couplers between the cars to break... which is horrible news for the crews.
