Hello everyone. I wanted to thank Jay above for saying spread the word! Not only do people not know about it but i had to tell many of my doctors about it. The quickest way to a cure is to speak out and tell everyone so they understand. cervical dystonia (also called torticollis) is very painful and if botox doesn't help the meds are not fun.if you just look around you will see someone with a type of dystonia- help them get diagnosed.speak out. thanks guys

alot of people ask about if i got the doc who did the bad lp. here in tx we have 2 years from DATE OF INJURY to file and i didn't even get a diagnosis for about a year and months. also because of the laws here, i have to prove dystonia came from the lp. which means finding a dr willing to say that in court- all i got was well you would be the first. i just hope karma gets him.

I have had it since a spinal tap in May 2006 but was diagnosed a year and 3 months later. It started out just in my right leg and has gotten worse and is now all of my right side. It was a slow progression.

I have dystonia in the neck, and it is very painful.. whatever pain I have had must be nothing compared to Amy's full on attacks.. For whoever is watching this video who doesn't have dystonia, please tell people about this terrible thing. Not only do you get immense pain, you lose your social life, your enjoyment of life. you lose friends.. you only ever feel the pain and the sensations, nothing else matters, and this is a description from someone who has the mildest form of dystonia.

I'm sitting here in front of the computer in tears... NOBODY deserves this! I experienced a dystonia attack in a mentalhospital just after I had gotten a cisordinol (anti-psychotic medication) injection. And that was ONE attack! And I seriously thought I was dying or experiencing the first steps om mental retardation. I can not imagine what you must be going through! All I wish is that you can still feel hope, even though it must be hard, and I pray that you will one day get better.

wow amy your not alone i have dystonia i have a type called PNKD and i know exactly what you feel, how it feels, how dibilitating this can be ... and im going to hopefully raise awareness and discuss my journey with dystonia
