i appreciate the fact that people did not "freak out" but they also did not act like they were in an emergency where injury or death could occur. the flight crew should have been off that plane with in minutes but looks like people were taking there time and luggage. the crew risked injury to ensure everyone got off safely before a potential fire or explosion. Yes i am glad people did not "freak out" but it is so common for passengers to just act like cattle, no matter what the situation.

@fiskarnorth- I am a flight attendant and your comments are seriously rediculous. First of all its people like you that make people like me wonder? Im suppose to save this jackasses life WHY again?? Please Identify yourself next time you fly. If i'm on it I will deffinetly make sure you are VERY welcomed! and give you a very good reason to complain! Once inside the terminal they picked up the tab for our meals at the restaurants, as well as for comfort items at the gift shop, such as snacks, beverages, magazines, blankets, and personal items. We all received $200 vouchers for future travel. My wife and I also reveived a voucher to cover a hotel room and meals in Phoenix. Delta made the best of a bad situation and I commend them for that.

I was on this flight - I shot the video. I was impressed with the way that Delta, as well as the passengers, handled themselves. Nobody freaked out, nobody got upset. The pilot and crew conducted themselves professionally. The runways were all shut down so there was no problem with us being on the adjacent runway. We had to get as far away from the plane as possible in case there was a fire. They did a great job getting us back into the terminal on shuttle busses as quickly as possible.
