[WHAT IF?] Metropolis: The Series

This is my version of the popular idea of taking Smallville to the next level, by permanently setting the show in Metropolis and leaving Smallville behind, which is more or less where the eight season is being taken. I wanted to get Clark away from the flanel and t-shirts so used ony Season Eight clips to emphasis how he is now becoming the man behind the myth.
Note: the idea behind Dean Cain is the popular theory that 'Curtis Knox' was the Smallville adaption of the comic character Vandal Savage, an immortal criminal mastermind and occasional thorn in Superman's side. Given their encounter in 'Cure', Knox/Savage would definately have a reason to hate Clark, and make a great enemy given more time to develop him on-screen.

You could always go with Darkseid, he's got brains, rules his own planet, is a god on his homeworld, and is Superman's most powerful enemy. (And most stubborn, right up there with the always upgrading Brainiac and Lex Luthor.)

true, and Darkseid IS damn scary, but who would you cast to play someone like that? at least with all the speculation about Knox being the Smallville version of Savage, I had someone ready, and it allows me (if I do actually write anything :p) to take him in a new direction...

That is pretty cool, though I'd like to see Lex in there. He's been Superman's nemesis for over 60 or so odd years in the real mythos and beyond.

kinda my point :p it's time for Smallville's Clark to deal with a 'new' nemesis, and since Lex's fate has been made rather ambiguous, I'd figured lets keep it that way for now...

Great video, I love it it's awsome, oh and it's not speculation that Knox is Van Savage it's fact. lex said he has 1000 names, in a superman book I read Superman Trail of time, they said Savage was the man with 1000 names, both are immortal and both of them were Jack the Ripper and both were adverisers to Hitler, there's too much conicendance.
